Invoices & tax

GST invoices for INR workspaces — the tax details printed on them, when you're asked for a GSTIN, how to download invoices and credit notes — and how invoicing works for USD workspaces through Paddle.

Open Billing

How you're invoiced depends on your workspace's currency:

INR workspace USD workspace
Who issues the invoice Amomic-AI, as a GST tax invoice Paddle, our merchant of record
Tax 18% GST, added to every payment Sales tax or VAT, worked out by Paddle at checkout
Where to find it Billing → Billing history → Download Billing → Billing history → Paddle invoice
Tax details in the console Yes No. You enter them at Paddle's checkout.

The rest of this page is about INR workspaces, apart from the USD section at the end. Owners and admins can see and download invoices. Only the owner can change tax details.

What you're charged #

Every INR payment, whether a plan renewal, an upgrade or a credit top-up, is the price plus 18% GST. Prices in the console and on Plans & limits exclude GST. Each payment dialog shows the split before you pay. For example, Growth is ₹7,999 + ₹1,440 GST = ₹9,439.

On a credit top-up, the GST is charged on top of the amount you choose and is never spendable: pay ₹2,950 and ₹2,500 lands in your balance.

The console shows a single GST 18% line. Your invoice splits it as either CGST + SGST or IGST, depending on the state you're billed in.

Tax details #

Billing → Tax details holds what's printed on your GST invoices. Set it before you pay. An invoice is issued at the moment of payment and can't be reissued with different details.

Field What it's for
Registered name Your legal entity name, for example Veloria Home Appliances Private Limited, not your workspace name. Required for any payment of ₹50,000 or more.
State Your place of supply. Decides whether your invoice shows CGST + SGST or IGST. Required before any payment.
Billing address Printed on the invoice. Required once you add a GSTIN, and for any payment of ₹50,000 or more.
GSTIN Optional. Add it to claim the GST back as input tax credit. Your state is filled in from it.

Click Save tax details: Tax details saved. They'll appear on your next invoice. When everything an invoice needs is on file, the card shows Ready for invoicing.

If the GSTIN and the state don't match, saving is refused and the message names both states, for example that GSTIN is registered in Karnataka, but the state selected is Rajasthan. Correct whichever one is wrong.

Admins see these fields but can't edit them.

When you're asked for these details #

You're prompted at three points, so a missing GSTIN never slips through unnoticed:

  1. A bar at the top of Billing while no GSTIN is on file: Your plan and credits are charged with 18% GST. Add your GSTIN to have it appear on your tax invoices and claim it as input tax credit. The X hides it in this browser.
  2. Add your GSTIN? before a plan payment, if there's still none on file. Choose Add GST details or Skip for now. You pay the same GST either way.
  3. State you're billed in in every payment dialog (plan and top-up). You can't pay until a state is chosen. Your choice is saved to Tax details.

The same dialogs ask for a Registered name or Billing address when this payment needs one and it isn't on file, and say why above Pay. Save invoice details saves them to Tax details.

Add the GSTIN before your first payment

A GSTIN added later only appears on later invoices. Invoices already issued keep the details they were issued with.

Downloading invoices #

Billing history lists every payment:

Column What it shows
Period The billing period. A credit top-up shows a single day, such as 2026-09-24 → 2026-09-24.
Amount The total paid, including GST
Status paid, or the payment's other state
Invoice Download for the PDF

Plan renewals and credit top-ups both appear here, each with its own invoice. Invoices are numbered in one series per financial year, for example AMO/26-27/00418.

If a download says That invoice is missing tax details we can't add retrospectively, the invoice was issued before your tax details were complete. Write to support@amomic.in with the invoice period and we'll sort it out.

Credit notes #

When a payment is refunded, in full or in part, we issue a credit note against the original invoice. It reverses the GST on that invoice. Credit notes appear under Credit notes → Refunds once you have one:

Column What it shows
Credit note The number, such as CN/26-27/00007, with a Partial badge for a part refund
Date When it was issued
Against invoice The invoice it reverses
Amount The refunded amount, incl. the GST it reverses
Document Download for the PDF

Give your accountant the credit note together with the original invoice. If you've already claimed input tax credit on that invoice, the credit note is what reverses it.

Refund terms are in the Refund & Cancellation policy.

USD workspaces #

Paddle is the merchant of record for USD workspaces. It calculates, collects and pays the sales tax, VAT or GST for your location, and it issues the invoice and receipt itself:

  • Billing history shows a Paddle invoice link instead of Download.
  • There's no Tax details card, GSTIN bar or credit notes section.
  • If your business is VAT-registered, enter your VAT ID at Paddle's checkout.

Troubleshooting #

I paid without my GSTIN. Can the invoice be reissued? No. An invoice can't be reissued with different details. Add the GSTIN now and it will appear on every invoice from the next payment on.

The Pay button is disabled. Choose State you're billed in in the dialog. It's required on every GST invoice. If a state is already chosen, the invoice needs more: a Billing address when a GSTIN is on file, or a Registered name and Billing address for a payment of ₹50,000 or more. The dialog shows the missing fields, and the line above Pay names them. Fill them in and choose Save invoice details.

I can't see Billing history or Tax details. They're visible to owners and admins only. Ask your workspace owner.

My invoice shows IGST, but I expected CGST and SGST. The split follows the state on file. Check State in Tax details before your next payment.
