Settings
Every tab of Settings in the console — your organization's name, country and time zone, customer memory, members, compliance, your profile and phone verification, notifications, and live support alerts on this device.
Settings holds your organization's details, your team, your own profile and how you're notified. Open it from Settings in the sidebar, or from Settings in the profile menu at the top right. Each tab has its own link, for example https://console.amomic.in/settings?tab=members.
| Tab | Who can change it |
|---|---|
| Organization | Owners and admins. Members see it read-only. |
| Members | Owners and admins. See Your team. |
| Compliance | Owners and admins. Shown only for workspaces based in India. |
| Profile | Everyone, for themselves |
| Notifications | Everyone, for themselves |
The console says organization where these docs often say workspace. They're the same thing.
Organization #
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Your organization's name, shown in the organization menu, invitations and emails. Required. |
| Website | Your website. Saved with https:// in front if you leave it off. |
| Country | The country code assumed when someone types a phone number without one, for example in a contact or a campaign file. It also decides how you get phone numbers: workspaces in India verify the business and pick a number themselves; elsewhere you request a number and our team sets it up with you. |
| Time zone | Your workspace's clock. Calls, call-backs, campaign sending hours, live hours and your agents' sense of the time all follow it. The country's usual zone is listed first. Changing Country doesn't change the time zone; set both. |
| Organization ID | Your workspace's id, such as org_01JA4M8Q2V7K9X3D5N6P1R0TZB. Quote it when you contact support. The copy button copies it. |
Click Save changes: Organization updated. The new time zone applies across the console straight away.
Not on this tab:
- Billing currency. It was chosen when the organization was created and can't be changed. See your workspace currency.
- Plan, invoices and tax details. These are on Billing.
Remember customers between conversations #
This switch, under the details, turns customer memory on or off for the whole workspace. When it's on, your agents carry a few details across calls, WhatsApp and chat, so customers don't have to repeat themselves. Turning it off stops both recalling and recording. It saves as soon as you flip it. See Contacts & memory for what gets remembered and how to review it.
Leave organization #
At the bottom of the tab, Leave organization removes you from this workspace. Anyone can leave, except the only owner, who has to transfer ownership first. See Leave an organization.
Members #
Invite people, change roles, transfer ownership and remove members. Your team covers this tab step by step.
Compliance #
The Compliance tab appears only when your organization's country is India. It's where you complete the one-time business verification that's required before phone numbers can be issued: your legal name, a registration certificate and a tax proof. Only owners and admins can submit it; a member gets Administrator access is required. Numbers & KYC walks through it.
Outside India there's no verification to do. Request a number from Channels → Phone and our team sets it up with you.
Profile #
- Display name is how teammates see you in the inbox, tickets and the members list. Click Save.
- Email is the address you sign in with. It can't be changed in the console.
Verify your phone number #
Your verified phone is the one that rings when you call a customer from a ticket.
- 1
Start
Under Phone number, click Add & verify, or Change if one is already verified.
- 2
Enter the number
Type your mobile number and click Send code. A number without a
+is read as being in your workspace's country. - 3
Enter the code
Type the code from the SMS under Verification code and click Verify. You'll see Phone number verified. and the number shows Verified. If the code doesn't arrive, click Resend code, or Change number to correct a typo.
Remove deletes the number from your profile: Phone number removed.
Notifications #
The Notifications card lists events in three columns: Event, In-app and Email. The email toggles are yours alone and don't affect teammates.
What actually reaches you today:
| Event | |
|---|---|
| New member joined | Sent when someone accepts an invite you sent. The toggle turns it off. |
| Usage & quota alerts | Sent to every owner and admin when a conversation or voice-minute allowance reaches 80%, 95% and 100%. It's always sent; the toggle doesn't change it. |
| Handoff requests, Campaign results, Knowledge sync failures, Weekly digest | Marked Email arrives soon. No email is sent for these today. |
Security and billing emails, such as sign-in, password, invoices and account status, are always sent and can't be turned off.
Handoffs reach you another way
Live handoff requests are announced in Live support and by the alerts on this device below, not by email or the bell.
The notification bell #
The bell at the top right collects workspace notices. You'll find:
- billing notices: payments, plan changes, trials, a failed payment
- credit balance warnings and credits about to expire
- usage alerts
- phone number verification results and number requests
- a ticket reply that couldn't be delivered, sent to the ticket's assignee
Live support alerts on this device #
This card decides how this browser tells you a customer is waiting in Live support. It's saved on this device only. Set it on each computer you work from.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Play a sound | Rings when a request arrives. Hear it plays a sample; Stop silences it. |
| Keep ringing | Repeats the sound until someone on the team takes the conversation. Ring for sets how long: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute or until answered. |
| Desktop notification | Shows a system notification, even when the window is minimized. Needs your browser's permission: click Allow notifications and accept the browser's prompt. Blocked by your browser means you need to allow notifications for the console in the browser's site settings. |
| Keep it on screen | The notification stays until you click or dismiss it. |
Human handoff covers going available and taking requests.
Troubleshooting #
The fields on Organization are greyed out. You're a member. Ask an owner or admin to make the change.
There's no Compliance tab. Your organization's country isn't India. Numbers are arranged through Channels → Phone instead.
Campaign hours or call-backs are an hour or more out. Check Time zone on the Organization tab. Changing Country doesn't move the time zone.
I turned off usage emails but still get them. Usage alerts go to every owner and admin whatever the toggle says.
Desktop notifications never appear. The badge shows Blocked by your browser or Not supported here. Allow notifications for the console in your browser's site settings, then turn the switch on again.
