The Billing page

A tour of Billing in the console — your plan, the next payment, prepaid credits, the three usage meters, the plans grid, tax details, credit notes and invoices — and who on your team sees each part.

Open Billing

Billing is where your workspace's plan, payments and usage live. Open it from Billing in the Manage section of the sidebar. Everyone on the team can open it, but what each person sees depends on their role. Only the owner can change the plan, pay or add credits.

The top of Billing for an owner on Growth: the plan, the next charge with GST, and the prepaid credit balance.

Who sees what #

Part of the page Member Admin Owner
Plan name, Usage this cycle, Plans grid Yes Yes Yes
Next payment amount and tax — Yes Yes
Prepaid credits and Credit transactions — Yes (view) Yes
Add credits — — Yes
Tax details — Yes (read-only) Yes (edit)
Credit notes and Billing history, invoice downloads — Yes Yes
Change plan, Cancel, plan buttons, trial and restore buttons — — Yes

Admins and members see a line under the plans grid instead of buttons: Only the workspace owner can change the plan — ask {owner} to make changes. To hand billing to someone else, the owner transfers ownership.

An admin sees the plans and tax details but can't change them.

The status rail #

When something needs attention, a card appears at the top of the page, above everything else. Each card shows only while its state is live, so more than one can appear at once, for example a scheduled downgrade and an overdue payment.

Card When it shows What the owner can do
Add your GSTIN bar INR workspace, owner or admin, no GSTIN on file Add your GSTIN jumps to Tax details. The X hides it in this browser.
These have stopped answering A move to Free has paused your WhatsApp number or phone numbers Upgrade to restore them
Your {plan} trial ends in {n} days Amomic-AI has given your workspace a trial Keep {plan} or See what changes
{plan} → {plan} on {date} You scheduled a downgrade Undo this change. A move to Free can't be undone, so that card says so instead.
Your payment is overdue / Your account is suspended A plan payment failed Complete payment

Each of these is explained in Upgrades, downgrades & trials. Your account is suspended means more than a closed console: while it shows, web chat, WhatsApp, calls, campaigns and the API are all stopped for your customers, and Billing is the one page that still works. Paying the invoice resumes everything on its own. See When a payment fails.

A trial, an overdue payment and paused numbers also put a banner across the top of every console page, so nobody misses them.

Your plan #

The first card shows:

  • The plan name and price, for example Growth · ₹7,999 / month + 18% GST. A trial reads Granted by Amomic-AI · free while it runs. Free reads No charge.
  • A status chip: active, cancelling, past_due or suspended, or Trial · 2d left during a trial.
  • The plan's first four features, and the current billing period, such as 2 October – 2 November.
  • Change plan and Cancel (owner only).

Change plan opens a preview for a suggested plan: Free → Starter, Starter → Growth, and Growth → Starter. During a trial it previews keeping the trial plan. To move to any other plan, use that plan's button in the Plans grid instead. Either way, nothing changes until you confirm the preview.

Cancel appears on an active paid plan. It asks Cancel your subscription? and explains that the plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, then moves to Free. Confirm with Cancel subscription. A cancellation can't be undone; you can subscribe again after it takes effect. Read what moving to Free stops first.

Next payment #

The second card shows what you will be charged next and when:

  • Paid INR plan: the plan price + 18% GST, the date (on 2 November), and a breakdown of plan, GST and Total. The chip reads Auto-charged, Ending (after a cancel) or Overdue.
  • Paid USD plan: the plan price. Sales tax or VAT is worked out by Paddle, our merchant of record, at checkout.
  • Trial: None. Nothing is charged during a trial. The owner can Subscribe now to keep the plan.
  • Free: None — You're on the Free plan.

Credits are not part of this charge. You buy them separately, when you choose to.

Prepaid credits #

Owners and admins on Starter and Growth see the Prepaid credits card. It shows:

  • the Balance
  • how much of your last top-up you've used (28% of ₹2,819 used)
  • an estimate of how long the rest will last at your recent pace (~44 days left at your recent pace), or, when nothing was charged in the last seven days, what you've spent this month
  • What used your credits this month, broken down by charge

Below it, Credit transactions lists every top-up, charge and expiry with its date.

The owner adds credits with Add credits. Credits explains what credits pay for, the top-up dialog and what happens when the balance runs out.

Usage this cycle #

The Usage this cycle card has three meters:

Meter What it counts Limit
voice minutes Connected call time this month, rounded up to whole minutes on the monthly total Growth 500. Starter shows not included: every minute is paid from credits at ₹6. Free has no voice.
web conversations AI conversations on web chat and WhatsApp this month. Despite the label, WhatsApp is included. Free 100, Starter 1,000, Growth 5,000
team seats Active members plus pending invites Free 2, Starter 3, Growth 10. A hard limit.

Each row shows the rate that applies past the allowance, such as ₹6 / minute after or ₹2 / conversation after. A meter turns amber at 80%.

When a meter is used up, a paid plan shows Used up — anything further is covered by your prepaid credits. On Free the meter turns red, because Free can't buy credits: Used up — new conversations are paused until your allowance resets on the 1st.

Allowances reset on the 1st

Conversations and voice minutes are counted per calendar month (UTC) and reset on the 1st, whatever date your subscription renews on. The dates in the card header are your billing period, not the reset date.

Under the meters, Beyond your allowance lists the rates for voice minutes, AI conversations and phone numbers. These are charged from your prepaid credits, and only for usage past what your plan includes.

Plans #

The Plans grid as the owner of a Growth workspace sees it. Each card's button says what it would do and when.

Four cards: Free, Starter, Growth and Enterprise. Your plan carries a Current badge. Prices exclude tax; an INR card adds + 18% GST. Plans & limits lists everything each plan includes.

The button on each card tells you exactly what clicking it would do:

Button Meaning
Upgrade to {plan} · Starts today Opens an upgrade preview. You pay now and the new plan starts at once.
Downgrade to {plan} · Takes effect {date} Opens a downgrade preview. Nothing changes until the end of the period you've paid for.
Already scheduled · Takes effect {date} You already scheduled this move. Undo it from the card at the top of the page.
Keep {plan} · Your trial ends {date} Your trial plan. Subscribe to keep it.
Pay now to resume Your plan, with a failed payment. Pays the overdue amount.
Upgrade to {plan} · Your {trial plan} trial continues During a trial, a plan below the trial plan. You start paying for it today; the trial keeps running.
Your plan after the trial During a trial, the plan you already pay for. Nothing to buy.
Talk to us Enterprise. Sends a request; our team gets in touch.

Every plan change starts with a preview of exactly what changes and what it costs. Upgrades, downgrades & trials walks through each one.

Tax details, credit notes and invoices #

INR workspaces have three more sections at the bottom of the page, for owners and admins:

  • Tax details — your registered name, state, billing address and GSTIN, as printed on your GST invoices. If a payment needs a field you haven't filled in (a billing address once a GSTIN is on file, or a registered name and billing address from ₹50,000), the Add credits or plan dialog asks for it and says why above Pay.
  • Credit notes — appears once a refund has been issued against one of your invoices.
  • Billing history — every payment, with its period, amount, status and a Download link for the invoice PDF.
Plan renewals and credit top-ups both appear in Billing history, each with its own GST invoice.

Invoices & tax covers every field and what to give your accountant. USD workspaces don't have these sections: Paddle issues the invoice, and Billing history links to it as Paddle invoice.

When a feature is locked by your plan #

Features your plan doesn't include show a Plan chip in the sidebar. Opening one shows Upgrade to unlock instead of the page. For example, campaigns need Growth. The owner sees View plans & upgrade, which opens Billing. Everyone else sees ask an owner to upgrade.

Troubleshooting #

I can't see any buttons on the plans. Only the owner can change the plan. The line under the grid names them.

I'm an admin and the plan buttons are missing, but I can see the balance. That's expected. Admins can view money but not spend it.

The usage meter says 3,482 but my billing period started on the 2nd. Conversations and minutes count from the 1st of the month (UTC), not from your renewal date.

web conversations went up but nobody used the website chat. The meter includes WhatsApp conversations.

There's no Billing history section. It appears once there's at least one payment. A workspace that has only ever been on Free has none.

Pay is disabled in the payment dialog. Read the line above Pay. On an INR workspace, choose State you're billed in, and fill in any Registered name or Billing address the dialog shows, then choose Save invoice details. See Invoices & tax.
